My name is Dr. Joshua Milber, and I am a board-certified psychiatrist practicing in the state of Washington. My telepsychiatry practice emphasizes the importance of taking a broad, humanistic approach to achieving mental wellness.

As a patient, you want a psychiatrist who has a thorough understanding of the scientific evidence for psychiatric interventions. I have spent years studying the science and art of psychiatry. I am both a life-long learner and teacher of psychiatry, and I devote part of my career to teaching trainees about psychiatry at the University of Washington.

You also want a psychiatrist with a wide range of experience, ideally with all available treatment options in multiple settings. I have have received training in various types of psychotherapy, including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), among others. I am a recognized expert in psychopharmacology, and have extensive experience providing other vital therapies to patients, including electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and repetitive transcranial magnetic therapy (rTMS).

My focus will always be your well-being, and all treatment decisions will be both of ours. I want to know get to know you as a person, not only as a function of your illness. My goal is for our relationship to be a catalyst for positive change, consistent with your values and goals. I hope that we can determine if we are a "good fit" for each other, and, if so, collaboratively develop a treatment plan that is right for you.

Best Wishes,

Dr. Joshua Milber, MD, MPH
